Former President of Mexico Vicente Fox to Receive the 2008 “Bridge Builder” Award at The Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala

One of the most recognized Hispanic events of the year for business and political leaders

(Richmond, VA) The Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (VAHCC) announces that the 5th annual Hispanic Gala will be held on Tuesday, April 15th at the Science Museum of Virginia. Over 800 attendees are expected including, Latin American Ambassadors, Governors, Senators, locally elected officials and corporate and political leaders.

The mission of the VAHCC is to build economic, social, and cultural bridges between the Hispanic community and the community at large. This year’s 2008 “Bridge Builder” award will be presented to the former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, who has accepted an invitation to attend the Gala as the recipient of this well deserved award. President Fox continues to be a strong advocate of economic and educational awareness for the competitiveness in the globalized community.

President Fox, after leaving office in 2006, has dedicated himself to focusing on a new vision of hope for the future of the Americas, which is outlined in his book, Revolution of Hope: The Life, Faith and Dreams of a Mexican President.
